AMAZING PLACE: ENGLAND




England is called United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. London is capital from England. England is an archipelago. Distance from the north end to the south is 965km and from east to west is 515km. Land area of England and Northern Ireland is 318.871 km2. The UK and Europe are separated by the Straits of Dover.
For me, England is awesome place. Because, a lot of interesting places that can be visited there. England is also one of the major countries that affect other countries. So many famous places in the UK that is heard throughout the world such as libraries, museums, big cities, historic buildings, beautiful place, as well as the headlines and the best schools in the world that there.
One of the city most I like in England is London. London is capital of England. In London are also many places of interest such as British Library, Big Ben, Thames River, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, and many more. At the first, I liked the city of London as many novels or films that are set in place in London, so that makes me imagine how the actual city of London and the desire to visit the city. I imagine the city of London is a beautiful city.

There are some interesting places in London in my opinion:

1. British Library
This is the largest library in the world based on the number of collection items in the world, that is Britania Library or better known in the world as British Library. British Library is national library United Kingdom (UK) which contains more than 170 milion items. Even the collection each year is expected to increase by 3 million items.
A unique fact say that if you read 5 items everyday, it takes 80.000 years to read the entire collection of the world’s largest library.

2. London eye
London Eye or Millennium wheel is the largest observation wheel in the world with high as 135 meters or 443 feet. London Eye spinning on Thames River, London, England and began operations in late 1999.)






3. Istana Buckingham
Buckingham Palace is the official recidence of the British Queen in London. This palace is a place for state events, place to welcome guests of the state, and place for recreation. Sometimes in happiness, crisis or mourning times, it also became the center of gathered for the people in UK.
This building is one building that is very popular and visited by no less than 50.000 tourist each year to attend a dinner, lunch party, reception, and formal parties of the royal family.

4. Big ben
Big Ben is the name that refers to a clock tower located in Parliament Building at Westminster, London, England, and is the second largest clock tower in the world after “Royal Clock Tower” in Mecca. This clock is located in the northeast oh the house of Parliament in Westminster, London. Big Ben clock tower have 150 years old, is one of the main attraction in London.
This clock tower can be called to be the largest for hundreds of years in the world. The clock tower has become a symbol by England and London, and has become the most visited recreation place.






5. Thames River
Thames River is a river flowing in southern England and connecting London with sea. 356 kilometer long river with extensive reach 12.935 km² is water empties into the North Sea.


And than, another some interesting place in England in my opinion is:   

   1.    Oxford University
Oxford University located in Oxford, England. One of the most prestigious universities in the UK since produced many notable alumni. The university also includes the ancient university and the oldest English-language which has existed since ancient times, but the exact date of the establishment of this university was still unclear. This university regularly compete with Cambridge University to occupy the first position ranking of universities in the United Kingdom.

2.     Stonehenge
Stonehenge is the most popular recreation place in England. Stonehenge is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Stonehenge was built by a culture that left no written records in history evidence suggests that large stones were established about 2500 BC. It is not known exactly what the purpose of Stonehenge was built, but many researchers believe the monument was used as a center of ceremony or religion.

3. Lake District
Lake District located in northwestern England at County Cumbria. Lake District is the largest National Park in this country. The main attaraction is the lake and the hills (mountains and hills) carved by glacial erosion and provide a dramatic and inspiring scenery. Tourist attraction in the UK is the main destination for those who want the activity of hiking and climbing in the UK. The park is visited by approximately 14 million national and international tourists every year.
